Launch the Edit Flags dialog box and click Type Flags to launch the Edit Data Type Flags dialog box. You can also launch this dialog box by launching the Step Type Properties dialog box, clicking Advanced , selecting Flags from the drop-down list, and then clicking the Type Flags .

The Edit Data Type Flags dialog box contains the following listboxes:

• Type Flags —Flags which are valid only for a property object that is a type definition. Type Flags do not exist in instances of the type.
• Instance Default Flags —When TestStand creates a new instance of the type, the values in this listbox determine the initial flag values in the instance.
• Flags Not Editable in Instances —When you set a flag in this listbox, the value of the flag the Instance Default Flags listbox specifies always determines the value of the flag that appears in instances of the type. In this case, instances of a type cannot change the value of the flag.
