To launch the Optional Parameters dialog box, click Create VI on the Edit LabVIEW VI Call dialog box after you configure the LabVIEW Adapter with the Allow Legacy and New Templates or Allow Only Legacy Templates option in the LabVIEW Adapter Configuration dialog box.

Use this dialog box to specify which optional parameters are wired to the legacy VI connector pane.

The Optional Parameters dialog box contains the following options:

• Input Buffer —An optional parameter that you can wire to the connector pane of the VI. This option dims if the Step.InBuf property does not exist for the step you are editing. For example, the Input Buffer control dims for an Action step.
• Sequence Context ActiveX Pointer —An optional parameter that you can wire to the connector pane of the VI.
• Invocation Info —An optional parameter that you can wire to the connector pane of the VI.
