Backup Prompt Dialog Box
You must attempt to save a sequence file over an existing sequence file that a different version of TestStand saved to launch the Backup Prompt dialog box. You must also set the TestStand Sequence Editor option, Backup Sequence Files when Resaving in Older or Newer Format, in the Sequence Editor Options dialog box to Prompt.
The Backup Prompt dialog box contains the following options:
- File Name —The sequence file path.

Backup sequence files when saving in older or newer format
—Specifies whether the sequence editor launches this dialog box in the future or uses a specific setting by default. The following options are available in the ring control:
- Yes —Always backup sequence files.
- No —Do not backup sequence files.
- Prompt —Prompt to backup sequence files.
- Yes —Renames the existing sequence file on disk by appending "_old" to the filename and saves the currently loaded file.
- No —Saves the currently loaded file over the existing sequence file.
- Cancel —Does not save the currently loaded sequence file.
