Installer Cache Dialog Box

Enable the Prompt Before Copying Installers to Product Cache option on the System Source tab of the TestStand Deployment Utility , enable the Install TestStand Runtime option on the Installer Options tab, and click Build to launch the Installer Cache dialog box.

When the deployment utility builds an installer that contains National Instruments components or drivers it might create a local copy in the C:\ProgramData\NI Parts directory on Windows 10/8.1/7.

This optimization improves the speed when you create installers and eliminates the need to insert DVDs or CDs that contain the drivers. However, when you use this optimization you increase the amount of disk space needed because you must store the drivers on the local hard disk.

Use this dialog box to select which National Instruments Installers are copied to the local cache. Any installers you select are copied to the local hard disk. When you cancel this dialog box, the build aborts.
