Configure Environment Dialog Box
In the TestStand Sequence Editor, select Configure»Environment to launch the Configure Environment dialog box. The Configure Environment dialog box serves as an editor that you can use to create and edit TestStand environments .
- Environment Path —Specify the path to the environment configuration ( .tsenv ) file that you wish to inspect, create, or modify. Specify <Global> to specify the global environment. You can browse for an environment file by pressing the browse button next to the text entry field. You can also select the global environment or the path to the current environment (if not the global environment) from the drop down menu.
- Save —Save the current settings to the specified file. The save button is disabled if you have made no changes or have specified the global environment. The global environment cannot be modified.
- Save As —Copy the settings specified in the current environment configuration to a new environment configuration ( .tsenv ) file.
- Load —Load the configuration of specified environment. The load button is disabled if you have not made any changes to the currently specified environment. (Note: Loading an environment file in the Configure Environment dialog only loads the file for viewing and editing. Loading does not change the environment in which the application is currently running. To run the application in a new environment, use the Set Engine Environment button.)
- Custom Directories —Select the directories your environment overrides by checking the desired CommonAppData, Public, and/or LocalAppData check boxes. Specify the paths by entering them in the text fields or browse to them using the browse buttons.
- Help —Get help for this dialog.
- Set Engine Environment —Exit the current application and relaunch in the selected environment. This button is disabled if you have unsaved changes to the currently selected environment.
- Close —Exit the Configure Environment dialog.
Note
Modifying the
.tsenv
file associated with the environment in which the application is currently running does not affect the currently running instance of the application. Use the Set Engine Environment button to use the updated settings. Alternatively, you can exit application and relaunch in the desired environment.
