Create or edit a connection string for a data link to launch the Data Link Properties dialog box, in which you can specify initialization properties for the OLE DB provider.

The Data Link Properties dialog box contains the following tabs:

• Provider —Select the appropriate OLE DB provider for the type of data you want to access.
• Connection —Specifies how to connect to the data using the selected OLE DB provider.
• Advanced —View and set other initialization properties for the data.
• All —View and edit all initialization properties selected for the OLE DB provider.
