Changing Simulation Behavior
Complete the following steps to change the simulation behavior that LabVIEW assigns to a synthesis file.
- Select one or more synthesis files in the IP Source table.
- Click the Set Simulation Behavior button:
LabVIEW displays the Set Simulation Behavior dialog box. - Select a new simulation behavior and configure as appropriate. If you want, you
can exclude the file from simulation altogether. Note
- LabVIEW dims certain simulation behaviors depending on the types of synthesis files you select.
- NI recommends selecting the User-defined option for netlist synthesis files. This option requires one or more .vhd files that define the simulation model. If you do not have these .vhd files, you can select the Post-synthesis model option to have LabVIEW generate a .vhd file during simulation. However, selecting this option greatly increases the simulation run time due to sub-optimal VHDL generation.
- You cannot select the Same as synthesis option for netlist synthesis files.
- Click the OK button to return to the configuration wizard.
