Variable: OrdAFType

Variable: OrdAFType

In an order analysis this variable specifies whether DIAdem calculates frequencies or orders in the frequency range.

Order

If DIAdem calculates frequencies, the program runs a FFT in rpm dependant steps. If DIAdem calculates orders, the program converts the time based measurement values into rpm based measurement values and runs an FFT.

Valid settings

Frequency DIAdem runs an FFT series with the starting points defined in the generated rpm channel. As DIAdem uses the values of the generated channel only to search for the starting point of the single FFTs, the values of this channel can also display other physical references than rpm (in [1/min]). Therefore the rpm channel can also be a velocity, temperature, or another value.
Order For an order analysis DIAdem needs an rpm channel as well as a time and a signal channel. This rpm channel defines the reference rpm for converting frequencies to orders. The 2. order, for example, is the double rpm of the reference rpm The rpm must be in the unit [1/min].
