Continuous Acquisitions
Continuous acquisitions function the same way as multiple point acquisitions, except that the trigger loop or the sample trigger loop are continuous. The figure below demonstrates the sequence for continuous acquisitions.
To configure a continuous acquisition, set Trigger Count or Sample Count to 0.
- Setting Sample Count to 0 causes the conditional statement "Measurements equal to Sample Count" to always evaluate to False. The DMM continues taking measurements in the inner loop.
- Setting Trigger Count to 0 causes the conditional statement "Triggers equal to Trigger Count" to always evaluate to False.
Note Continuous acquisitions can only be performed using waveform mode with a PXIe-4080/4081/4082.
To end a continuous acquisition, call niDMM Abort.
