Sorting Data in Browser Columns
The Browser supports sorting the data log table by one or more columns of available data. The Browser sorting behavior observes the hierarchy of conditions that you set in the Multi Sort menu.
Note
You can also sort columns that contain only string data in ascending or descending
order using the sort buttons within the Filter menu. Click
the Filter () button on a column header to
open the Filter menu.
-
Click Multi Sort (
) to view and edit the sort conditions for the columns in the data log table.
-
Click Add to insert a sort condition into the
Multi Sort window.
Note The Add button disappears after a sort condition is added to the Multi Sort window. This button reappears after you select a column and order for the newly added sort condition.
-
Select the column to sort using the Column drop-down
menu.
Note If a column contains more than one data type, the Browser disables selection of the column in the Column drop-down menu and does not allow sorting functionality for the column.
- Select the sorting order for the column using the Sort By drop-down menu.
-
If needed, click Delete (
) to remove a sort condition from the Multi Sort window.
- Click Apply to implement the sort conditions in the Multi Sort window to the data log table.
