What Is a PXI High-Speed Serial Instrument?

The PXI High-Speed Serial Instrument is designed for high-performance FPGA coprocessing capabilities or validating, interfacing, and testing serial protocols. The module includes user-programmable FPGAs to implement high-speed serial protocols and application-specific customization.

Stream High-Volume Data

High-speed serial instruments are built with up to 48 multigigabit transceivers (MGTs) which can simultaneously stream high-speed data from multiple instruments and aggregate up to 1 Tb/s of throughput for high-speed applications.

Real-Time Signal Processing

PXI High-Speed Serial Instruments provide real-time sustained data streaming and increase fidelity for realistic testing and hardware-in-the-loop applications such as DUT or system prototyping and validation.

Integrate Custom Solutions and Protocols

PXI High-Speed Serial Instruments are integrated with an open, user-programmable FPGA to develop, debug, and deploy custom IP and protocols. NI provides several software examples to demonstrate how to integrate common protocols, as well as LabVIEW architectures for several application patterns.
