How Does VB-8054 Self-Calibration Work?
The VB-8054 FGEN supports self-calibration. This operation measures the output offset error and compensates for it for all functions. Calibration is useful if the offset error has drifted over time or if the unit is subject to an ambient temperature significantly different than the temperature previously used for calibration.
- In the upper right corner of the FGEN panel of the application, click the
icon and select Self-Calibrate. - Disconnect all loads from the function generator and click Begin Self-Calibration.
This operation should take less then 10 seconds. When the operation completes, your FGEN has calibrated its offset error.
