Software Included in NI Academic Volume Licenses

Overview

​​You can choose between two Academic Volume License (AVL) options:

 

  • NI Multisim AVL—Includes the NI Circuit Design Suite with Multisim, NI Ultiboard, and Multisim Live access
  • NI LabVIEW AVL—Includes LabVIEW Professional Development System, select modules/toolkits, and other NI software like DIAdem and VeriStand, plus institutional benefits like on-demand training and education credits. Refer to LabVIEW AVL Benefits for details.

All software is the latest NI version compatible with Windows, unless noted otherwise. Contact us for pricing.

Download NI Academic Volume License Software

​To download NI AVL software, visit the Academic Volume License download page and select one of the following Software Environment options:

  • Multisim
  • LabVIEW

Some software included in the AVLs are not included in the Academic Volume License download and do not ship on media. You must download this software separately, but it is licensed by your AVL.

Refer to the NI Academic Volume License Release Notes and Installation Instructions for general instructions. For specific installation instructions, refer to the appropriate product documentation.

Drivers

Most NI drivers are free and do not require a license, such as NI-DAQmx, NI-DMM, NI CompactRIO, and so on. You can download device drivers from our website.

The following drivers each require a license, but licenses are included in the LabVIEW AVL.

  • LabVIEW OPC UA Toolkit Deployment License
  • LabVIEW OPC UA Toolkit Development License
  • Vision Acquisition Software
