NI Electric Motor Simulation Custom Devices (Electric Motor Simulation Toolkit)

The NI Electric Motor Simulation Toolkit is an add-on for both the LabVIEW platform and NI VeriStand. On VeriStand, this toolkit allows you to simulate an electric motor. This toolkit extends the functionality of VeriStand by providing a series of custom devices for you to design and implement a real-time motor simulation application. Using this add-on for VeriStand, you can easily run high-fidelity finite element motor models in real time.
This toolkit also combines NI real-time testing software technology with third-party software. You can use this toolkit with JSOL JMAG-RT, part of the finite element analysis (FEA) tool suite from JSOL Corporation. You also can use this toolkit with ANSYS simulation software.
The Electric Motor Simulation Toolkit provides the following custom devices:
- ACIM Constant Parameter Model Custom Device—Enables you to simulate an AC induction motor (ACIM) using the constant parameter model function.
- PMSM Constant Parameter Model Custom Device—Enables you to simulate a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) using the constant parameter model function.
- PMSM FEA Model Custom Device—Enables you to simulate a PMSM using the FEA model function.
- PMSM Variable Parameter Model Custom Device—Enables you to simulate a PMSM using the variable parameter model function.
- SRM Linear Model Custom Device—Enables you to simulate a switched reluctance motor (SRM) using the linear model function.
- SRM FEA Model Custom Device—Enables you to simulate an SRM using the FEA model function.
