Watch Expressions Tab - Edit Breakpoints/Watch Expressions Dialog Box
Watch Expressions Tab
The list control contains the watch expressions previously defined while the current workspace was loaded. The Watch Expression column displays the client sequence files associated with the watch expressions. You can expand the client sequence file entry to view the watch expressions. You can also click on an expression to edit the value. Use the Breakpoint column to specify whether the watch expression can break execution when the value changes or when the value is True .
User interfaces that do not support displaying watch expressions in their Execution window do not display this tab.
The Watch Expressions tab contains the following options:
- Add —Launches the Watch Expression Settings dialog box, in which you can edit the settings for a new watch expression.
- Edit —Launches the Watch Expression Settings dialog box, in which you can edit the expression, breakpoint type, and scope for the selected item.
- Expand —Expands the Watch Expressions list control for the currently selected file to show all watch expressions associated with the file.
- Expand All —Expands the Watch Expressions list control for all files to show all watch expressions.
- Collapse All —Collapses the Watch Expressions list control for all files, so the list shows the files that contain watch expressions.
- Delete —Deletes the selected watch expression, or the watch expression associated with the selected client sequence file.
- Delete All —Deletes all watch expressions in the list.
