Local Oscillators

The local oscillators (LOs) provide the signals required for mixing in the upconversion process. The LOs are phase-locked to the onboard reference OCXO at all times. The LOs cannot lock to external references directly; only the OCXO locks directly to external references.

The frequency of this LO can vary between 3.2 GHz and 5.9 GHz, depending upon the specified output frequency and intermediate frequency automatically chosen by NI-RFSG.
