Self-Calibrating the PXIe-5433
Self-calibration adjusts the PXIe-5433 for variations in the module environment. Perform a complete self-calibration after the first time you install the PXIe-5433.
- After first installing the PXIe-5433 in a chassis
- After any module that is in the same chassis as the PXIe-5433 is installed, uninstalled, or moved
- When the PXIe-5433 is in an environment where the ambient temperature changes. Refer to the module specifications to find the allowable ambient temperature for your instrument.
- When the PXIe-5433 temperature has drifted from Tcal by more than specified since the last self-calibration. Refer to the module specifications to find the allowable difference from Tcal for this instrument.
- More than 24 hours have passed since the previous self-calibration

Install the PXIe-5433 and let it warm up for the
recommended warm-up time listed in the module specifications.
Note Warm up begins when the PXI Express chassis has been powered on and the operating system has completely loaded.
- Self-calibrate the PXIe-5433 by clicking the Self-Calibrate button in Hardware Configuration Utility or MAX, or calling niFgen Self Cal or niFgen_SelfCal.
