Add-on Software
Refer to the following information to begin using USRP devices with the NI-USRP instrument driver software. NI-USRP controls the configuration and operation of all USRP devices using LabVIEW VIs, performs signal generation (Tx) and signal acquisition (Rx), and supports clocking and synchronization tasks.
Modulation Toolkit
The Modulation Toolkit integrates with USRP devices for modulation and demodulation measurements and analysis. Modulation Toolkit VIs and functions generate and analyze analog and digital modulated IF signals in FSK, MSK, PSK, QAM, AM, FM, and PM formats.
The Modulation Toolkit can measure several aspects of signals generated by a unit under test (UUT), including the following parameters:
- Modulation quality and modulation index
- Signal impairments, bit error rate, and phase noise
- Carrier frequency drift and complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) values
Refer to the Modulation Toolkit documentation, available at
, for complete information about Modulation Toolkit VIs and functions.Digital Filter Design Toolkit
The Digital Filter Design Toolkit integrates with USRP devices for design, analysis, and processing of floating-point and fixed-point digital filters, including multirate filters. The Digital Filter Design Toolkit also includes tools for designing, analyzing, and processing filter banks.
The Digital Filter Design Toolkit includes the following capabilities:
- Single-stage and multistage FIR filters for interpolation, decimation, and resampling
- Fixed-point filter design, analysis, and simulation, including single-rate filters and multirate filters
- LabVIEW FPGA and ANSI C code generation for fixed-point filter implementation on an FPGA or digital signal processing on the FPGA
Refer to the Digital Filter Design Toolkit documentation, which you can access from the Toolkits section of the LabVIEW Help at , for complete information about Digital Filter Design Toolkit VIs and functions.
