Description
Specifies or returns the mean sync interval used by the 1588 clock. Use a smaller sync interval to make clocks respond more quickly to changes in the time reference. Use a larger sync interval to send packets less frequently and decrease network load.
The sync interval of the grandmaster clock becomes the sync interval for the entire PTP subdomain. Therefore, when setting this value, remember that it will be used only if the Best Master Clock (BMC) algorithm chooses the local clock to be the grandmaster.
