cDAQ-9189 Examples

NI installs example code with your software or driver that demonstrates the functionality of cDAQ-9189. Use these examples to learn about the product or accelerate your own application development.

Most NI products install examples that you can access directly or from within NI software. The example experience can differ slightly across products and versions.

The NI-DAQmx software includes examples you can use to get started programming with your device. Examples are also available from ni.com/support. Modify example code and save it in an application, use examples to develop a new application, or add example code to an existing application.

NI-DAQmx - Voltage - Continuous Input This example demonstrates how to continuously acquire voltage measurement using a DAQmx device.
NI-DAQmx - Voltage - Continuous Output This example demonstrates how to continuously re-generate analog output data from a buffer in your computer's memory.
NI-DAQmx - Current - Continuous Input This example demonstrates how to continuously acquire buffered current measurements using a DAQmx device.
NI-DAQmx - Current - Continuous Output This example demonstrates how to continuously re-generate analog output data from a buffer in your computer's memory.
NI-DAQmx Count Edges This example demonstrates how to continuously read back the number of digital edges that have been counted by a counter input.
NI-DAQmx Digital - Change Detection This example demonstrates how to acquire a continuous amount of digital data based off of the changes of an external signal across one or many lines on either the rising or falling edges.
NI-DAQmx Digital - SW-Timed Output This example demonstrates how to generate digital output data using software timing.

cDAQ-9189 Example Locations

Find the examples installed with cDAQ-9189.

NI-DAQmx examples are available from the software download and from ni.com/support. To run examples without the device installed, use an NI-DAQmx simulated device.

NI-DAQmx installs examples for cDAQ-9189 in the following software:

  • LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI
  • SignalExpress
  • ANSI C
  • .NET

Examples installed in LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI are available from the Windows Start menu or from the NI Example Finder. The NI Example Finder is a utility that organizes examples into categories. The NI Example Finder allows you to browse and to search installed examples.

Examples installed in LabVIEW NXG are available from the Learning tab in LabVIEW NXG.

Depending on the software the examples install for, you have options for accessing the installed examples.
