Product Security and Critical Updates
NI Linux Device Drivers software provides Linux Desktop support for a variety of NI test and measurement hardware. It offers a repository add-on that you can download to instruct your Linux distribution's native package manager to install NI driver software packages.
Refer to Download and Install NI Driver Software on Linux Desktop.
NI Linux Device Drivers 2021 Q3 introduces Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 "First Look" driver support. First Look driver feeds are fully-validated and production-ready, but they include only a subset of the drivers that are supported on other Linux OS distributions. For example, package ni-ubuntu1804firstlook-drivers-2021Q3.deb contains registration for a subset of the total drivers that NI supports on other Linux distributions, but all the drivers it does contain have been fully validated on Ubuntu 18.04.
For details about a specific driver's system requirements, supported hardware, limitations, and so on, refer to the readme for the individual driver.
The following table shows driver support for several Linux distributions. Only Ubuntu support has been updated in this feed release, while other distribution feeds are still included for completeness. These NI drivers can be installed by executing the specified add-on files through your Linux distribution's package manager.
