NI‑9477は、様々な工業用リレー、ソレノイド、モータ各種へ直接接続することができ、それらの信号および工業論理レベルで動作します。各チャンネルは、5～60 Vの信号に対応し、チャンネル・グランド間絶縁を備えています。チャンネルを並列接続すれば、モジュールあたり最大20 A（チャンネルあたり最大1 A）の電流をシンクさせることが可能です。
