sbRIO-9629 è un controller integrato a scheda singola dotato di processore real-time con NI Linux Real-Time, un FPGA riconfigurabile e I/O su una singola scheda PCB. SbRIO-9629 include un connettore RIO Mezzanine Card (RMC) che fornisce l'accesso diretto al processore e alle linee I/O digitali FPGA. Questo controller è dotato di due connettori Gigabit Ethernet abilitati TSN, una porta CAN, una porta USB, una seriale RS-485 e una porta SDHC. SbRIO-9629 ha sedici ingressi analogici a 16 bit, quattro uscite analogiche a 16 bit, 96 linee DIO a 3,3 V e quattro linee DIO a 5 V.
