NI works with leading semiconductor manufacturers to ensure that NI Multisim software contains the components you need in your design. With these relationships, NI is able to augment its database with each revision to offer up-to-date symbols, SPICE models, and land patterns for your projects.
NI and Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) began collaborating on the Multisim database with the release of NI Multisim 10.0 in January 2007. This relationship ensures that Multisim customers can evaluate many ADI components such as operational amplifiers and comparators.
ADI defines innovation and excellence in signal processing. The company's analog, mixed-signal, and digital signal processing (DSP) integrated circuits (ICs) play a fundamental role in converting, conditioning, and processing real-world phenomena such as light, sound, temperature, motion, and pressure into electrical signals for use in a wide array of electronic equipment.
ADI provides customers unique tools to evaluate their components online. Some of these include Multisim simulation technology as well as NI LabVIEW graphical programming.
The 10578_ms_analogd.pdf file at the end of this article contains all of the ADI devices included in the NI Multisim 11.0 component database. There are 1,353 ADI components in Multisim.
To find the component you need in your design, use the search functionality of the PDF viewer by selecting <Ctrl-F> and typing the name of the device.
As a part of the relationship between NI and ADI, in 2007, the companies created the Multisim Analog Devices Edition. This is a component evaluation edition of the software that is used to view only Analog Devices components and understand the performance of these components.
If you are using the Multisim Analog Devices Edition, view the chart below to see how this software compares to complete NI Multisim software packages.
