Overview
This page shows supported versions of the Multimedia Test Products, NI Video Measurement Suite (VMS, formerly VideoMASTER), NI Picture Quality Analysis (PQA), NI Analog Video Generator (AVG), NI Digital Video Generator (DVG), or NI AudioMASTER, with the Microsoft Windows operating system. Reference this information to ensure you install the correct version when upgrading or updating your operating system, or when migrating or porting code to a new system. Using incompatible versions may result in errors, the inability for Microsoft Windows to recognize or detect and then find a driver for your device, or missing devices in Windows Device Manager or NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) .
Multimedia Test Products and Microsoft Windows Compatibility
Note: If you are using a 64-bit operating system, Multimedia Test products all install and run as 32-bit applications. 64-bit versions of Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1 are all supported. There is no support for 64-bit Windows XP.
Some NI Multimedia Test products require a specific OS service pack in order to be supported on certain operating systems, as indicated in the table above. In general, NI recommends that you have the most recent service pack for your operating system installed. For the specific service pack required for your software, please review the readme for the appropriate version. Readme files can be found on your installation media or through the download pages linked below.
As shown below, these products are not supported on Windows 10. While the software may work on this version of the OS, it has not been tested and there is no guaranteed functionality.
