In the Vision Acquisition Software May 2017 and the Industrial Controller Device Drivers 17.0 releases, incompatibilities were discovered between CVS-1458RT/1459RT, IC-312x, and ISC-178x targets and the latest NI Linux Real-Time updates available. In those releases, installation support for these targets was disabled across all LabVIEW versions to prevent an issue where enabling the Console Out feature or forcing safe mode on the target could put it in a state of high CPU utilization and unresponsiveness to remote reboot or format commands. In that state, physical access to the target is required to recover functionality.
Vision Acquisition Software 17.1 and Industrial Controller Device Drivers 17.1 reenable support for LabVIEW Real-Time 2017 on those targets and also include updated Recommended Software Sets for LabVIEW 2014 and later. Once you install those drivers to your host computer, deploy the updated Recommended Software Sets from MAX to your real-time targets to take advantage of these and other updates and improvements included with the 17.1 drivers.
