No device names appear when initializing a session with NI-DMM on LinuxRT

When selecting a resource name with niDMM Initialize.vi or niDMM Initialize With Options.vi in LabVIEW with a LabVIEW version prior to 21.0 on an NI Linux Real-Time target, the drop-down menu for selecting resources appears empty and you cannot select a device that is in your system.


Workaround:

Manually enter the resource name for the device you want to use. Use MAX or NI System Configuration software to retrieve the resource name for any devices in the system.

Errors reported in English instead of Japanese on LinuxRT for NI-DMM driver

On a Linux Real-Time target with the language set to Japanese, the NI-DMM driver returns errors in English instead of Japanese.

Workaround:

There is currently no known workaround for this issue.

No device names appear when initializing a session with NI-DMM on Linux Desktop

When selecting a resource name with niDMM Initialize.vi or niDMM Initialize With Options.vi in LabVIEW on Linux Desktop, the drop-down menu for selecting resources appears empty and you cannot select a device that is in your system.

Manually enter the resource name for the device you want to use. Use the Hardware Configuration Utility or NI System Configuration software to retrieve the resource name for any devices in the system.

NI-DMM Self-Test does not check the user replaceable fuse for the NI PXIe-4080 and NI PXIe-4082

The NI-DMM Self-Test documentation states that the user replaceable fuse for the NI PXIe-4080 and NI PXIe-4082 is checked as part of Self-Test. However, it is not tested and Self-Test passes even if the fuse was blown or removed. This affects all versions of NI-DMM prior to NI-DMM 2023 Q3

Workaround:

Upgrade to NI-DMM 2023 Q3.
