VeriStand 2021 R2 Known Issues

Overview

This document contains the VeriStand known issues that were discovered before and since the release of VeriStand 2021 R2. Known issues are performance issues or technical bugs that NI has acknowledged exist within this version of the product.

 

Not every issue known to NI appears on this list; it is intended to show the most severe and common issues that you may encounter and provide workarounds when possible. Other technical issues that you may encounter could occur through normal product use or system compatibility issues. You may find more information on these issues in NI’s Product Documentation, Knowledgebase, or Community.

Rapid gateway address update prevents deployment

Opening a project and immediately changing the gateway address to an invalid IP address may cause VeriStand to retain the invalid IP gateway address and ignore all further gateway address updates. This system state may prevent successful deployment.

Workaround:

Close and reopen the project. Wait 10 seconds after loading the project before modifying the gateway IP address.

Viewing complex Screens causes poor VeriStand undeploy performance

Viewing a deployed project screen containing 80+ UI elements may cause the project to take several minutes when executing the undeploy command

Workaround:

Add an empty Screen to the project. Make the empty Screen the active document before undeploying.
