NI-FGEN Standards Are Not Available in The Setup Wizard

NI-FGEN standards are not showing up in the setup wizard. Specifically, the Instrument driver for National Instruments Signal Generator option is missing from the list of available standards. This affects all procedures that require NI-FGEN standards.

This issue occurs when you upgrade to Calibration Executive 6.3 or 6.4 from an earlier version. When you perform a clean install of Calibration Executive 6.3 or 6.4, the Instrument driver for National Instruments Signal Generator option is available.

Workaround:

Perform the following steps to repair the NI-FGEN driver:
  1. Open the Command Prompt with Administrator privileges
  2. Execute the following command to repair the NI-FGEN driver installation:
    • "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI Package Manager\nipkg.exe" repair ni-fgen-runtime-core
  3. Reboot the computer after the repair completes.
