This document contains the known issues introduced in the NI CompactRIO 19.6 and Drivers and R Series Multifunction RIO 19.6 release (December 2019) that were discovered before and after the release of the driver. This list includes only severe or the most common issues that were introduced in the NI CompactRIO and R Series Multifunction RIO 19.6 releases and does not include every issue known to NI. New issues appear at the top of this document. If an issue appeared in a previous version of the CompactRIO Device Drivers or R Series Multifunction RIO driver and has not been resolved, it will not be listed again here.
The workarounds described in this document are not always tested by NI and are not guaranteed to resolve the issue. The brief description given does not necessarily describe the problem in full detail. If you would like more information on an issue, visit ni.com/contact and reference the issue ID. Passing an Error into an R Series I/O Node Returns Previous Value When an error is passed into an R Series FPGA I/O Node, the node will return the last valid value from the node instead of zero. . Workarounds: Check for an error before executing the I/O Node. If an error has occurred, discard the data returned from the I/O Node. |

Simulation Mode Ignores AI Terminal Mode in R Series Cards The FPGA Simulation (Real I/O) Mode ignores RSE and NRSE AI Terminal Mode on R Series cards. When in Simulation Mode, the AI Terminal Mode is ignored and results returned from the I/O Node are values from a Differential (DIFF) AI Terminal Mode configuration. Workarounds: There is currently no known workaround for this issue. Until this issue is resolved, Differential Mode (DIFF) is the only supported AI Terminal Mode for Simulation (Real I/O) Mode. |
