Hardware in the loop (HIL) is a robust testing methodology for embedded software that relies on a model to accurately simulate real-world testing conditions. Integrating the model, code under test, and real I/O is critical for fully vetting embedded software. VeriStand is NI’s application software for validation and is the way that models are integrated into the NI toolchain. This video walks through an example of integrating a model, exploring a stimulus profile, manipulating VeriStand elements on the fly, and bringing in physical hardware.
