2-Port, IEEE 1394, Reconfigurable Digital I/O Frame Grabber Device—The PCIe‑8255 is an IEEE 1394 interface for PC-based systems. The PCIe‑8255 is ideal for high-data-rate machine vision applications. The interface powers and acquires from cameras through three IEEE 1394 camera input ports. Hubs to any of the ports allow acquisition from additional cameras. The PCIe‑8255 contains digital I/O lines for synchronizing vision components such as cameras, triggers, and lights. It also contains quadrature encoder inputs, product selection lines, and general-purpose digital I/O for communicating with actuators, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and NI programmable automation controllers (PACs).
