Interconnecting the PXIe-5842 VST
Complete this procedure to interconnect the modules of the PXIe-5842 VST.
Before beginning this procedure, install the relevant modules for your instrument in your PXI Express chassis and refer to the interconnection guidelines.
The PXIe-5842 VST comprises the following modules:
- PXIe-5842
- PXIe-5655
Once you complete this procedure, your instrument should appear as follows:
- PXIe-5842 (module)
- PXIe-5655
- Semi-rigid 2.92 mm (m)-to-2.92 mm (m) cables
Complete the following steps to interconnect the PXIe-5842 VST:

Connect the local oscillator for RF output.

Connect the internal reference clock.
Note Install this cable such that the flatter bend is closest to the PXIe-5842REF: IN connector and the more angled bend is closest to the PXIe-5655REF OUT connector. The correct orientation leaves less space between this cable and the cable you have already installed.
