Software Options

NI provides two software options for the WTS instrument—WTS Software and WTM.

Note WTM is an optional purchase and is not required to control the WTS instrument.
Table 2. WTS Software Options
Software Description Use Case
WTS Software WTS Software is embedded into the WTS instrument. WTS Software allows you to control the WTS instrument using either SCPI commands or the user interface (UI) to perform generation and analysis functions. Use the SCPI commands to perform measurements of connectivity and cellular standards for wireless device test, and to control parameters driven by each command.
WTM WTM provides a LabVIEW framework that allows you to easily create your own DUT control and RF test step plugins to use in test sequences executed by TestStand. WTM includes sample connectivity test steps and DUT control plugins as a starting point for development.

Use WTM to create full wireless test plans ready for a production environment. To edit or create custom test sequences, you must also have TestStand installed.

For WTM installation instructions, refer to the TestStand Wireless Test Module Readme, available at ni.com/manuals.
