The LogChannel type exposes the following members.
Properties
| Name | Description | |

 | channel_group | Gets or sets the name of the channel group to use for the channel in the log file. |
| channel_name | Gets or sets a name to use for the channel in the log file. |
| channel_path | Gets the path to the channel or its alias. The path matches the node hierarchy that appears in the System Explorer window configuration tree. |
| properties | Gets a dictionary containing property name and property value strings. These properties are written as metadata to the channel in the log file. |
