Installing the TS-15000/15010

Notice To prevent damage to the TS-15000/15010 caused by ESD or contamination, handle the device using the edges or the metal bracket.
  1. Connect the TS-15000/15010 with the USB cable to any available USB port on your computer.
  2. Power on the TS-15000/15010. Refer to the Power Considerationstopic for additional information on providing power to your TestScale assembly.
  3. Double-click the NI MAX icon on the desktop to open Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). Expand Devices and Interfaces and verify that your backplane is listed there. If your backplane does not appear, press <F5> to refresh the view in MAX. If your backplane is still not recognized, refer to ni.com/support/daqmx for troubleshooting information.
  4. Self-test your backplane in MAX by expanding Devices and Interfaces, right-clicking TS-<model number>, and selecting Self-Test. Self-test performs a brief test to determine successful backplane installation. When the self-test finishes, a message indicates successful verification or if an error occurred. If an error occurs, refer to ni.com/support/daqmx.
    Note When in use, the TS-15000/15010 may become warm to the touch. This is normal.
