Choosing an Authentication Setting
Choose whether users connect through accounts controlled by the web server, Windows accounts, or an LDAP server.
Note The authentication setting you choose depends on the identity provider (IdP) your
organization uses. In NI applications that use NI Web Server, such as SystemLink, create
your role mappings using this same authentication method.
Use the following table to choose between settings on the Authentication
tab. You can use multiple settings at the same time.
Use Case | Setting |
---|---|
Only one user, the admin, will access the web server. | Log in as users controlled by the web server |
Multiple users will access the web server with their existing credentials, identity, and access levels in your organization. | Log in as users controlled by the web server You will also need to edit a configuration file on the server machine. Refer to the SystemLink single sign-on help for information about how to edit this file. |
