PFI Lines
PFI lines are multipurpose programmable function input/outputs. These lines serve as connections to virtually all internal timing signals. Many NI high-speed digitizers have two or more digital lines that can import a trigger, import or export a reference clock, or output various signals.
The function of each PFI line is independent. However, only one trigger source can be imported during acquisition.
Notice
If you enable a PFI line for output, do not connect any external signal source to it; doing so can damage the device, the computer, and the connected equipment.
