The NI 9852 and NI 9853 are the NI C Series modules for Controller Area Network (CAN). Use this help file as a reference for information on the FPGA Device I/O functions, methods, and properties of the NI 9852/NI 9853.

Within this help file, the term CAN module refers to the NI 9852 or NI 9853 C Series modules. Within CompactRIO software, the NI 9852/NI 9853 are also designated by the names cRIO-9852 and cRIO-9853.
