My target returns the status Inconsistent IP Settings
Your target might return an Inconsistent IP Settings status even if the target is connected to the host machine. This occurs when the target's IP address and subnet mask are not in the correct range as specified by the host subnet mask.
(Phar Lap ETS, VxWorks) If the network adapter is set to use DHCP, restart the target with the network cable plugged in to attempt to assign the target a new IP address. If you are using a static IP address, you can fix inconsistent IP settings by manually updating the target IP address to be in the same subnet as the host IP address. For more information about TCP/IP addresses and subnets, refer to the Microsoft Support documentation.
(NI Linux Real-Time) Complete the following steps to reset IP settings on the target.
- Press and hold the RESET button on the device for 5 seconds.
- Release the RESET button when the STATUS LED turns yellow. This puts the device in safe mode.
- Press and hold the RESET button for 5 seconds.
- Release the RESET button when the STATUS LED turns yellow. This puts the device in safe mode and resets the IP settings to use DHCP.
