Displaying and Controlling Data (DSC Module)

A Human Machine Interface (HMI) is the interface through which an operator interacts with a system and with the outside environment that the system monitors and controls. In LabVIEW, you use VIs as the HMI for an application. The LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) Module installs controls and indicators and VIs and functions to help you create HMIs. Use the DSC Module VIs and functions to control the HMI, access the Citadel historical database, perform calculations and logic, and change between different displays.

Before you build an HMI, make sure that you are familiar with Property Nodes and the VI server.

To develop an HMI application, create the front panel and then complete the block diagram.
