ITS-16250 Getting Started
Verifying the System Requirements
To use the ITS-16250 , your system must meet certain requirements. The ITS-16250 is designed to work with Hirose type B ix Industrial and VPC iCon connectors. For more information about compatible cables and contacts, refer to the VPC documentation.
Unpacking the Kit
- Touch the antistatic package to a metal part of the computer chassis.

Remove the device from the package and inspect the device for loose components or any other sign of damage.
Notice Never touch the exposed pins of connectors.Note Do not install a device if it appears damaged in any way.
- Unpack any other items and documentation from the kit.
Verifying the Kit Contents
- ITS-16250 Mass Interconnect PCB Assembly
- VPC iCon receiver frame (NI part number 755315-01)
- VPC iCon receiver protective cover
- Four 4-40 x 3/16 in. panhead screws (NI part number 740914-01)
- Two 4-40 x 1/2 in. truss head screws (NI part number 741703-01)

Other Equipment
There are several required items not included in your kit that you need to operate the ITS-16250 . Your application may require additional items not included in your kit to install or operate your ITS-16250 .
Required Items
- #1 Phillips screwdriver
- VPC iCon documentation
Optional Items
- Four 1/2 in. 4-40 standoffs
Installing the
ITS-16250
Complete the following steps to install the ITS-16250 to the system panel.

Secure the iCon receiver frame to the panel using the 2-56 screws and nuts as
shown in the following image. Skip this step if the frame is preinstalled in
your system.

- Secure the ITS-16250 to the frame using the 4-40 truss head screws. Figure 2 indicates the holes for each screw type.
- Engage the captive 2-56 screws in the iCon connectors through the tool access holes.

Secure the
ITS-16250
to the panel using the 4-40 x 3/16 in. panhead screws.
- (Optional) If you are using a custom panel, use 1/2 in. 4-40 standoffs as needed (not included).
