Using the DST Add-On for InstrumentStudio

The DST Add-On for InstrumentStudio provides two panels:

  • DST Acquisition Add-On for InstrumentStudio—Helps you acquire, visualize, and analyze I/Q data interactively from DST instrument.
  • DST Generation Add-On for InstrumentStudio—Helps you import and transmit I/Q data interactively through the DST instrument.
  • Note The DST Add-Ons require InstrumentStudio version 2024 Q2 or later.
    The DST Driver comes with an InstrumentStudio plugin that allows you to interactively use the firmware without requiring a programming language.
    1. Launch InstrumentStudio by navigating to Start » National Instruments » InstrumentStudio.
    2. Click Manual layout.
    3. In the Edit Layout window that opens, select DST Acquisition or DST Generation.
      • Select Create a large panel for the DST Acquisition Add-On.
      • Select Create a small panel for the DST Generation Add-On.
    4. Click OK.
      A panel opens.

    5. Select the DST Instruments.
    6. Click to specify the paths to the .lvlibp library and .bitfile that contain the serial interface.
    7. Click Connect.
    8. Configure the measurement settings.
    9. Click Run to begin acquisition or generation.
