This document contains the Control Design and Simulation Module 8.5 known issues that were discovered before and since the release of the Control Design and Simulation Module 8.5. Not every issue known to NI will appear on this list; it is intended to only show the severe and more common issues that can be encountered.
The following is a list of known issues for the Control Design and Simulation Module 8.5. See the readme for other known issues.
Installation order of LabVIEW, Control Design and Simulation Module and related products As with all toolkits and modules, the version of LabVIEW to which you are installing the toolkit or module must be installed first. In the case of the products mentioned below, the Control Design and Simulation Module 8.5 must be installed after any previous versions of Control Design Toolkit, System Identification Toolkit and/or Simulation Module.
You must install these products in the following order:
Missing error code descriptions The error code file that ships with the Control Design and Simulation Module 8.5 are incomplete.
Rosenbrock and BDF solver accuracy on LabVIEW Embedded targets Computational accuracy of Rosenbrock and BDF solvers is not assured on LabVIEW Embedded targets.
Discrete Transfer Function with SIM and CDT Datatype Have Different Results Method 1:
Substitute the existing LLB in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\vi.lib\Simulation\DiscreteLinear\Implementation\SIM Discrete Transfer Function Direct.llb with the one attached to this document and mass compile the VIs running in LabVIEW.
