VISANI-VISA Utilities
NI Spy helps you troubleshoot your system. With this tool, you can capture all function calls through the following APIs: NI-VISA, NI-488, NI-VXI, all IVI classes, NI-Scope, NI-DMM, NI-Switch, and more. For each call, you can see its return code and verify the parameters. Failed calls are highlighted to make them easy to locate during your development. Detailed information includes contents of data buffers, time stamps, process IDs, and thread IDs. You can save this information to a file or print out a hard copy. |
NI-VISA comes with utilities to make programming your instruments easier. The VISA Interactive Control (VISAIC) Utility provides access to all VISA functionality interactively, in an easy-to-use graphical environment, so you can communicate with your GPIB, VXI, PXI, Serial, Ethernet, and USB devices. VISAIC provides full access to the attribute model of VISA, the message and register-based operations, as well as the event operations for capturing events such as Service Requests (SRQ) and various interface-specific interrupts.
