LabVIEW FPGA and LabVIEW NXG FPGA Patch for Vivado 2017.2 on Windows 10 Readme

This file contains important information about the LabVIEW FPGA and LabVIEW NXG FPGA Patch for Vivado 2017.2 on Windows 10. Although NI tested the patch to ensure it behaves as desired, only limited testing occurred to detect any potential problems introduced by the changes. NI strongly recommends that you test to verify that these changes are acceptable before you use this patch in a production environment. System Requirements

This patch updates the the LabVIEW FPGA Module and LabVIEW NXG FPGA Module Xilinx Compilation Tool for Vivado 2017.2. You must have the the LabVIEW FPGA Module or LabVIEW NXG FPGA Module Xilinx Compilation Tool for Vivado 2017.2 installed before you can apply this patch. Refer to the LabVIEW FPGA Module Xilinx Compilation Tools for Windows Readme, located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\FPGA\CompileWorker\readme folder, or the LabVIEW NXG FPGA Module Readme, located in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW NXG X.0\Readme for the system requirements and supported operating systems.

Installing the Patch

Complete the following steps to install the patch:

  1. Log in as an administrator.
  2. Close all NI software.
  3. Run setup.exe.
  4. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
  5. Verify that the patch installs correctly. Verify that readme_Vivado20172Win10.html is now found in the C:\NIFPGA\programs\Vivado2017_2 folder.
  6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 for all development systems where you want to install the patch.
